Daddy
My initial reactions to “Daddy” are basically a little confusion and some understanding that Plath’s father was involved with, related to, or a Nazi in some way. The poem is filled with strange wording and tons of allusions that I am sure have some important meaning I am missing, and so obviously I don’t have the full understanding yet. I do know that I don’t like poetry and this poem is no exception, so looking at it more closely is not going to be fun.
